Seventy years after its founding, Asgartha faced dark times that nearly led to the fall of humanity's cradle. In 42 AC, Cwaith had succeeded Rune, and Ayxas was poised to take over after the High Queen, whose reign had lasted nearly twenty-eight years. Under the influence of the Kuningatar, the living conditions of the Asgarthans had greatly improved.

The first time I heard about Altered, it was still in the project phase during a private event. At Flip 2023, I suspected there might be a booth for 'Régis's game' somewhere (I didn't even know the name) and actively searched for it throughout the festival. We eventually found it in the REEL association area, and I got to play my first games.

I discovered Altered through some friends of mine who run a YouTube channel. They played a few games and, of course, I had to try out the game myself. In January 2024, I set a goal to get back into TCGs after a hiatus of about 10 years. So, I started researching the current market. As a big board game fan, when I found out Régis was working on a TCG, I wanted to learn more. I discovered Altered three days before the Kickstarter began and was immediately captivated by Equinox's proposal.
