Since the reception of our KickStarter products and the release of the first digital services through the altered.gg website and the iOS and Android beta apps, many of you have embraced these services, and we sincerely thank you for that. Our teams have been working tirelessly to ensure you have the best possible experience, and we wanted to share an update on the current developments. Here’s a quick overview of recent improvements and upcoming changes.

Today, we're going over the latest update of our Companion App, still in BETA, in its version 1.0.4.

The new version 1.0.4 of the Companion App is available for download using the following links:

On Android, it's very important to uninstall the existing app before installing the new one.

This issue mainly affected iOS users, but some Android users were also impacted. We’re happy to announce that updates for both platforms are now available that should fix these authentication issues.

While working on the authentication updates, we also took the opportunity to optimize the multi-scan experience. Here are the new features:

• Added options on the right side of the screen during the scanning process (see screenshot):
  • A zoom function, in addition to the existing manual zoom feature
  • A flash/lamp activation option
  • A help tooltip with two functionalities:
    • Short press: help message
    • Long press: technical information about your device, which can be shared with our support in case of an issue

We noticed some confusion regarding the account creation process for local game stores, which some users misunderstood as access to the marketplace. This process is exclusively intended for local game stores and professional accounts. As we mentioned in our roadmap, the marketplace will be available at a later date.

We have therefore added additional instructions in the account creation process for professionals to avoid any confusion.

In recent weeks and with an ever-growing number of users, our platform has naturally been under significant pressure, which has unfortunately led to slower response times. Rest assured, our teams are fully focused on this issue. We are making various adjustments to quickly restore optimal performance and ensure a smooth experience for you.

We are currently working on improving the activation process for local game store accounts to make the validation more seamless and responsive. The confusion around account creation has impacted our system, but we are making adjustments to ensure faster response times.
