Heroes

The Exalts are spearheading the Rediscovery Endeavor, and have the monumental task of serving as the vanguard for the exploration forces. These teams of two consist of an Alterer, who has the ability to manifest their imagination and memories in the world, and an Alter Ego, a Tumult Chimaera that can capture greater amounts of Mana than Alterers on their own.

The Exalts have chosen to bind their essences and spirits, to become a single entity composed of two complementary beings. During exploration, the Alterer moves toward the Tumult while their Alter Ego emerges from it, engorged with magical energy. The magical combustion that results when they meet up temporarily stabilizes the Mana around them.

After many encounters, the Exalts hope to secure the regions they venture into and make them safe to navigate for the rest of humanity that will follow them as explorers. But this quest will only truly finish when they have found the source of the Tumult and calmed the world once and for all.
