Back in February as our backers unlocked the final stretch goal of our Kickstarter, we announced our plan to allow all players to play with their decks on Board Game Arena, unique cards included.

Today, we’re really happy to announce that Altered is finally available on Board Game Arena and you can already start playing now!

If you’re not already familiar with BGA, Board Game Arena is the largest online platform for board games. Play directly in your browser against your friends and players from the entire world.

Bring your deck online and take Altered with you anywhere you go. Are you looking for an opponent to compete against? Been wanting to play during your commute? Play with a friend while you relax at home?

With Altered on Board Game Arena, you get to:

• Play Altered the way you want, when you want to

• Play with your own decks and the cards you’ve added to your Altered digital collection

• Play with your unique cards

• Play directly in your browser, no need to download another app

Altered on Board Game Arena plays with the same rules as the tabletop version of Altered. The format is Standard Constructed, the usual and most common two-player way to play Altered. Choose from one of our Starter Decks or import your own deck and start playing!

To play on Board Game Arena, you need to log in with your account or create one.

Search for Altered in the Board Game Arena library or follow this link.

If you’re new to the game, you can learn how to play Altered with our Board Game Arena tutorial. To do so, select Learn, then Play Tutorial, or use the following link.

This will open a new window in your browser with instructions to play your first game.

If you already know how to play Altered, then you can start playing right away!

When launching the game on Board Game Arena, the 6 starter decks from Beyond the Gates are always available. But if you want to play one of your own decks, you will need to synchronize your BGA and Altered accounts.

To import your decks in Board Game Arena, first you need to synchronize your BGA and Altered accounts. Here’s how to connect your Altered and Board Game arena accounts in 4 easy steps:

Now that your BGA and Altered accounts are linked, you will get the option to choose one of your own decks when starting a game. To start a game, check the following instructions.

Once the game starts, select the deck you want to play with. All six Starter Decks are available, but if you want to play with one of your own decks, select Custom decks. It must be a legal 40-card deck in order to import it.

When playing on mobile, switch your phone to landscape orientation and select the full screen view in the upper right-hand corner. Then lock the view with the lock button to enjoy the best BGA game experience.
