We are very proud to be able to announce today the launch of the Marketplace and Print-on-demand services in open beta!

It's been over a year now, since the very first reveal in August 2023, that you've been by our side. At the time we made you a promise: to create with you a living, ambitious, and innovative game and universe. From the start, we knew that promise would not be easy to keep.

To innovate is to explore the unknown. It means taking risks, facing setbacks, and starting again. It also means taking time: time to do things right, to solve each challenge one by one, to remain faithful to our vision. Since the incredible success of the Kickstarter, you’ve seen the project grow before your eyes: just a few months after the end of the campaign, you were already opening your first boosters, we launched the first version of the Altered app, you started hosting the first tournaments. On our end, we were already developing the game’s future expansions. And at every step, you were there.

But with this initial promise, there was an even greater dream, a fundamental pillar of our ambition: connecting our players to each other through a Marketplace and a Print-on-demand services worthy of Altered.

What we are launching today is not just a website or a feature: it’s an ecosystem, designed to last, to evolve, and above all, to serve you every day. It's a unified, international and instantaneous platform that's always running, no matter your player or collector profile. A system of this magnitude, that allows you to simultaneously retrieve your cards and have them available instantly—there is no other like it in the world.

This platform is now available. Starting today, you can:

• Buy, sell, and look for your favorite cards,
• Complete your collection or find that one card your deck is missing,
• Reprint the cards of your choice in the language of your preference,
• Foil, protect, and play your cards without fear of damaging them.

We’ve had to persevere for months to manage the technical and legal challenges related to these services: international taxation, banking partnerships, GDPR, global logistics, security, performance… Each obstacle has been complex, but we knew that the experience we wanted to offer you was worth it.

Today, Friday, April 25, 2025, we are finally moving from closed beta to open beta. To deliver on that promise is a moment we’re experiencing with great emotion. Because behind every line of code, every decision made, were your messages, your encouragement, your feedback, all those kind words that keep pushing us to do our best.

Altered is not just a game—it’s a collective adventure. And this launch is as much your victory as it is ours.

• Activate your Wallet
• Top up your Wallet for your Marketplace & POD purchases, or simply make your first sales to fund your future projects.

Please note that the new services are not available from the Altered app and will not be in the near future (due to the additional costs this would generate for users related to download platform fees from Apple & Google).

An open beta means that the Marketplace and Print-on-demand are now accessible to everyone, but will still require further development to reach their full potential. It also means that it's important for us to continue receiving your feedback on any issues/bugs you may encounter.

With the opening of the Marketplace and Print-on-demand to all our users, the next step is to continue improving these services. Thanks to your feedback, we have a clear vision of the elements we can improve in the short and medium term, including but not limited to:

• opening the Marketplace and/or Print-on-demand services to countries that do not yet have access
• allow players to share their purchases in order to lower some of the fees
• improving the filtering system to allow you to better target the cards you're interested in
• increasing the $250 price ceiling for listing cards
• improving navigation and tool usability

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the closed beta, whose feedback and testing allowed us to develop the service we’re offering today.

To avoid penalizing you, we are re-crediting the POD rights for exclusive cards for anyone who used these rights during the beta. You can once again print your exclusive cards (alt-arts, promo cards) or resell them with their printing rights.
