Faster, ever faster! Our fire rages highest when the race is afoot!

392 AC - I climb the steep slope with short strides. I suppose "climb" is an interesting word choice. I know I'm climbing along the floating island, but the concept of up and down doesn't really apply here. From where I am, it's like I'm running on flat ground. I look up. Above me, another island floats upside-down in the air. From my inverted position, I see herds of yaks, or animals that look like yaks, grazing peacefully before they scatter at my approach. With a bit of luck… Using Alteration, I create a rocky promontory at my feet. It shoots out from the ground toward the other island. I let myself be carried along with it, adjusting my stance. But as I approach the inverted island, I feel gravity switch directions and suddenly pull me upwards, which is actually now downwards.

I jump and turn in the air, landing on the other side and rolling in the high grass. OK, if I continue along this atoll, it should get me to my destination. But before I continue with my run, I check in on Booda's spirit. He's on a similar island. I feel the wind blowing past his ears as he crosses the rugged plains of the Tilted Steppes. Yaks shamble away as he approaches, and he yowls at them to make them get out of his way. He isn't far off. Not far at all. And he's vibrating with the Mana he's stolen from the Tumult. I smile. In a few hours at most, we'll meet each other. I'll use all the Mana he's collected to stabilize the area and paint it in Bravos colors. Unless another Exalt manages to do it before us. In their dreams! I set off again at a sprint.
